Laid in are six Call Sheets, five of which contain the name of Peter Halliday have the actor's name highlighted, one of which has his name written (incorrectly as "Peter Haliday") on the verso in holograph ink, one two page Shooting Schedule and one six page Shooting Schedule.
Based on the 1989 novel by Kazuo Ishiguro. Late in mid-life, Darlington Hall's staunch head butler Stevens (Anthony Hopkins) finds himself questioning his unwavering dutifulness and years of service in light of, now deceased, Lord Darlington's (James Fox) Nazi ties as well as the romantic possibilities sacrificed, some 25 years earlier, with housekeeper Miss Kenton (Emma Thompson).
Nominated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.
Set in and shot on location in Somerset, Gloucestershire, Devon and Wiltshire, England.
