Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1965. Final draft pilot script for the MGM television series which aired on September 6, 1966 on ABC. Laid in, a MGM Work Order and Call Sheet, filled out in holograph ink, dated "WED. 12-8-65" in holograph ink. Bound in is a five page Shooting Schedule dated 11-29-65, struck through on three pages in holograph pencil.

Loosely based on the 1965 film of the same name, also directed by Burt Kennedy, which was based on the Max Evans novel of the same name, the MGM television series was a western themed comedy sitcom starring Ron Hayes as Ben Jones and Patrick Wayne, son of John Wayne, as Howdy Lewis. Chill Wills reprised the role of Jim Ed Love from the 1965 film. ABC aired the 17 episode series from September 6, 1966 through January 3, 1967.

Set in the fictitious J.L. Ranch in Texas.

Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1964. Draft script for the 1965 film, with the name of cinematographer "Paul Vogel" followed by what appears to be "81" in manuscript pencil on the first revision page, page 55. Laid in is a 17 page shooting schedule, dated 4-22-64, with two brief annotations in manuscript pencil, "(arroflex (zoom)" and "camera car." Based on the 1960 novel by Max Evans, about two aging cowhands who make a big bet that no rodeo cowboy can rider their supposedly unbreakable horse. Set in and shot on location in Arizona. Goldenrod titled wrappers, rubber-stamped copy No. 81, dated March 25, 1964, with credits for producer Richard E. Lyons and screenwriter Burt Kennedy. Title page integral with first page. 112 leaves, with last page of text numbered 112. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout and one gray revision page, dated 4-7-64. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
