Escaping her recent divorce and death of her child, Leslie, an American, ends up in India where Buddhism has its roots, Banhasa, along the banks of the Ganges. A mysterious man gives her a ring that will not come off her finger, with a strange symbol on it, later revealed to be the atma or that from which all emanates. She is set off on a both a liberating and terrifying journey to destroy the ego and become at peace with herself.

Set in Banhasa, India.
