Miami, FL: William Grefe, 1971. Revised Final draft script for the 1972 film, belonging to Executive Producer John H. Burrows, with "Burrows" written in manuscript ink on top right of wrapper. Housed in a denim three-ring binder with the front annotation of title in manuscript marker, annotation of title in manuscript ink on front wrapper, and annotations to verso of last page in manuscript pencil and ink.
Shell-shocked Native American Tim Ochopee, a Vietnam veteran, discovers his father has been murdered, and seeks retribution with the help of his best friend, a snake named Stanley, and Stanley's brood.
Set in the Florida Everglades, shot on location in Everglades National Park and Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, Florida.
Red wrappers in a denim-bound three-ring binder with title written in manuscript ink on front wrapper. Title page present, dated 11/16/71, noted as Revised Final Draft, with credits for screenwriter Gary Crutcher. 107 leaves, with last page of text numbered 94. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with pink revision pages throughout, dated variously between 11/22/71 and 11/24/71. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, denim binder with light soiling at extremities, else Near Fine.
