A biopic on the life of Israel's first female prime minister, Golda Meir, recounts her story at the school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she attended as youth. As a child in Russia, her family moved to America to avoid persecution. Upon reaching adulthood, she moved to Palestine to work on a kibbutz. In 1969 she was elected Prime Minister and resigned following the Yom Kippur War of 1974.

Set in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Russia, and Israel, shot on location in Israel.
