Historical Sketch, Etc. Seattle, Wash[ington]: Published by Lowman & Hanford Stationery & Printing Co., [1891]. First edition, 38 pages, 15 cm. Attribution of authorship and date of publication from C. W. Smith, Pacific Northwest Americana, third edition. Decorated salmon pink paper cover, with a Chinook male woodcut signed R. Coombs. The stationer-publisher's advertisement are inside front and back covers. With a brief introductory history of the early encounters with the indigenous speakers, a pronunciation guide and a guide to numerals, followed by a dictionary. Front cover slightly chipped and soiled, interior fine, with a two-staple binding.
