About This Item

New York: Committee on Film and Television Resources and Services, 1975. First Edition. First Edition, noted as "Not for review or quotation / Draft" on the front wrapper.

A series on reports on various aspects of film culture in the United States, including "Filmmaking," "Preservation," "Distribution," "Exhibition," and "Study," complete with historical background information and recommendations. The reports were compiled at various Committee meetings and, once compiled, were sent to various individuals and institutions in hopes of soliciting feedback. The Committee took that feedback and issued "The Independent Film Community: A Report on the Status of Independent Film in the United States" in 1977, though its scope and content differ significantly from the information in the "Preliminary Report" offered here.

Light soil to the card stock wrappers, Near Fine overall.
