First edition, state with University of Virginia cancel labels on titlepage and copyright page. Perfectbound wrappers. Laid in is a notice from the University of Virginia Press offering to exchange the book for a copy without cancels. Presumably the Press was using the first edition from Kentucky until they could reprint the book with their own imprint. Fine. Warmly Inscribed by Dove. Author's first work of prose, a collection of stories published only in paperback. Scarce.
