NY: Harper & Row Publishers, 1980. First Edition, first printing. Signed presentation from Havoc on half-title page, to her neighbor at Cannon Crossing: Love to Vicki, always June Havoc. Cannon Crossing 1981." With a sketching of the Old Schoolhouse Café at Cannon Crossing tipped in, inscribed by "Tana" (the artist) to Vicki. Also, with a lengthy note on the verso from Tana to Vicki. Havoc bought the eight-acre Cannon Crossing in Connecticut and restored many of its dilapidated 19th-century buildings. June Havoc (1912-2010) was a Canadian American actress, dancer, stage director and memoirist. Her older sister, Louise, was the well-known striptease performer Gypsy Rose Lee. An interesting copy!. 8vo., cloth & boards in dust jacket; 277 pages. Illustrated.. Very Good (covers nice; with tiny stain lower rear corner; contents clean & tight); moderate wear (small chips & tears) d/j.
