Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Plate facing page 266 is almost detached. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Visible marking to some pages throughout, but text is not affected. Boards have heavy shelf-wear, with visible corner bumping and noticeable scuffing to edges. Spine is severely sunned, with visible crushing and splitting to ends. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with visible marking also.
