New York: Viking Press and Junior Literary Guild, 1952. Gray hardcover cloth binding with blue text and decoration. Clean square and tight. Interior clean, tight, and bright. 64 pages. DJ missing large chip front cover that takes out author's first name Robert. Split along spine bottom 4". Rubbing along spine edges, closed tear back cover - protected from further damage with clean Brodart jacket. A bit of staining on front of dj. Overall a very nice copy of early printing of Caldecott Honor book. Does NOT have Caldecot seal.. Illus. by McCloskey, Robert. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair.
