Exterior shows light soiling and spotting, corners are softened and spine edges show chips with the worst being at the top. Rear board has a small white spot as seen in the photos. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Text pages are tight. Only handwriting found in book was in the front and page where the original owners name is penned along the top (Emma Clifton Watt). Pages show toning due to age and some minor foxing is present though mainly limited to the end pages.

An excellent working/reference copy of this classic textbook. Hardcover small octavo bound in publisher's pebbled brown cloth is in Fair-Good condition: front hinge cracked & reglued, but front cover slightly shaky. Spine covering split about 3" down from head. Stitched text block is secure. Fairly heavy rubbing to extremities, down to underlying boards along bottom edges.
