Illustrated with 242 engravings. Moderate wear to cloth on extremities. Endpapers newly replaced, binding is tight. Paper is lightly browning.. Very Good.

Condition of the binding is Poor: exterior is scuffed & chipped, front board is detached; rear interior hinge is split; front & rear endpapers and adjoining leaves are detached. Condition of the text is Very Good: light foxing throughout; chips/tears to the margin in a few places; a few leaves have a small fold at bottom front corner; two pages have minor notations in pencil..

London: Printed by W. Gilbert, 1810. Hardcover, [xvi], 224 pages, plus a 12-page catalogue of "Established School Books." Fair condition. Size 7"x4.25". Leather casing is heavily rubbed, and scuffed on extremities. Spine is replaced with cloth tape. Bookseller's and previous owner's (org) stamps & label on front endpapers. Three quarters of Plate I (frontispiece - Map of the Heavens) is missing, the remaining three plates are present. Text is rippled from aging/storage. Two leaves have closed tears, one signature is starting, and several places in the text have foxing or stains from pressed flowers.. Fair.

London: Printed by R. & W. Leybourn, for the Company of STATIONERS, 1658. Hardcover, size 7.5"x5.5". Full calf with four raised bands. [xxii], 148, [viii] pages, plus the 13 ephemerides which vary from approximately 28 to 36 pages each, plus a final leaf of errata. The ephemerides themselves were previously printed separately - seven are dtd 1656, five are dtd 1657, and one for the year 1669 is dtd 1669 (clearly a misprint). Condition of the casing is Good- (minus): considerable wear, abbreviated title inked on spine label. Condition of the text is Good: occasional light soiling/foxing or marginal chip/closed tear; text rippled from aging. Previous owner's stamp on endpapers, title page, and three places in text; armorial bookplate of John Earl of Loudoun w/double-headed eagle & motto "I Bide My Time" on front pastedown..

London: Harvey's Naval History Original antique map of 18th century Africa. Good condition. Size 34x37cm. Engraved for Harvey's Naval History, published in the early 1780s. This map also had been published in Daniel Fenning's "A New System of Geography" (1770s). The map has moderate foxing, closed tears along some of the folds, and chips & loss in the margins.. Good.
