Collins, 1980, First Edition, first printing, 314 p. very good (minor skewing, else fine), price clipped dust jacket otherwise in very good condition with minor tanning at the top (mylar protected). This is the seventh in the Aubrey Maturin series, and this first edition is scarce as Collins cut back on the print run after remaindering the previous title "The Fortunes of War."

New York, Cassell & Company Ltd., 1988. This is the New and Revised Edition with "The Season of 1887", not the Limited Edition. 27 x 19 cm. 200 p. Includes illustrations, maps, and diagrams. Frontispiece of The Yacht Mayflower in 1886 with 140 line drawings of yachts at sea in-text with other engravings and decorations including one of the Americas Cup. The text is divided into several sections, The History of American Yachting from the early days of the New York Yacht Club to 1885, The Mayflower and Galatea Races of 1886, American Steam Yachting, British Yachting and American Yachting in 1886 and 1887. This copy remains in a good condition. The blue cloth boards are rubbed at the edges and have sustained some tearing along the top and bottom edge of the spine. Tome 1:Amsterdam: David Martin, 1707. First edition. French. Hardcover. Folio, iii, 397 p. (pag. rh only; therefore 16, 794 p.). This first volume of La Sainte Bible qui contient le Vieux et Le Nouveau Testament, commonly called Mortier's Bible, after the name of the printer, is in a good condition. The volume is tightly bound with some tearing of the latter vellum and noticeable discoloration. The text and beautiful engravings remain in excellent condition. Few pages are loose and torn but most have sustained foxing around the edges. This two volume set was created by David Martin [1639 - 1721], was a learned French Protestant theologian.
