Original gilt topboard design of Sheridan waving hat on horseback cut in two and placed on spines of each volume to denote volume, leather spine titles printed gilt. 8vo. pp. 486. Index. Very Good. Internally very good with several archival paper repairs, minor chipping, toning and some old edge dampstain. Marbled edges have faded to a consistent brown 'speckled' edge. Gilt title skipping "invisible" on book spine, with "Invisible" spaced on top of slipcase. Entire case block dis-bound and washed in a proprietary cleansing bleach removing all toning, foxing, dust mites, etc. and adding strength to pages. This technique will add years to the first edition first issue copy.
