The 1854 edition of Jacob Abbott's The History of Madame Roland, part of the Abbott's Histories series. Red cloth, blindstamped on both front and back. Gilt on spine. Famed full-color frontispiece is intact, as is tipped-in protective tissue. All eight B&W engravings are intact, including frontispiece. (Plate on page 97 has a deckled bottom edge.)Spine is discolored and darker than rest of jacket, with slight wear on heel and top. Pages are age tanned and have small stains. Two of the pages are uncut.All four endpapers are significantly discolored with a black waxy substance (see photos), something like crayon.

Famed full-color frontispiece is intact, as is tipped-in protective tissue. All eighteen B&W engravings (nine plates) are intact.Spine is discolored and darker than rest of jacket, with obvious water damage that shows through the endpapers. Fraying on top spine and front jacket. Small writing on front endpaper. Pages are age tanned and have small stains.

A six-volume edition of the works of Tennyson, published in 1892. Blue cloth with gilt on spine. Deckled edges. Volume 1 features B&W frontispiece of Tennyson; frontispiece and tipped-in protective tissue are intact.All volumes have some staining, bumping, and wear on the covers. The tops and heels of spines have some fraying. Pages are age tanned with occasional small staining. FON written in front endpapers of all volumes; volume 1 also has some small marks on FFEP.
