Duodecimo (4 3/4" x 7"), navy cloth, gilt, with an oval lozenge with an illustration of a creel with fish, top center. Corners illustrated with trout flies. Top edge gilt. 401pp. Illustrated by Milton C. Weiler. This is copy number 499 of 550. Very good with some offsetting from on the endpapers, probably from a jacket having been taped on. faint stain on the top edge. A little surface wear on the cover, barely noticeable. Some leaves unopened. A lovely copy.

Illustrated with 10 photogravures by the author's wife, and a colored plan. 168pp. with index plus 40p. cataogue of Longman's publications. an attractive copy. There is moderate foxing mostly on the preliminaries. All but three plates have some foxing in the margins, but the photogravures remain sharp and enchanting. The color plan is not stained. This plate illustrates Aurota, Doris, Tipha, and Laomedia. There is descriptive text fully describing the insects in German and French, and a copy of a title page, in an envelope attached to the back of the mat. Exquisitely colored and finely detailed. This print is matted with acid free materials and shrink wrapped. The plate is not hinged, but is floated with acetate corners. Quite scarce.
