Set of 3 Black cloth with beige boards. No Dust Jackets. 1. Tropic of Capricorn 1961 - Cover Near Fine, a scratch on the black. Inside Like New/Tight Binding. 2. Tropic of Cancer 1961 - Book Creaks when opened. Cover Near Fine, bottom of spine dented & spine bends outward slightly in the middle, edges of spine rubbed along front, front tips of corners very slightly rubbed. Small red penciel mark on exterior pages of book at bottom (not a remainder). 3. Black Spring 1963 Inside Fine, some page tips got bent on the bottom. Cover Fine, Front & back edges of spine worn. Has a dedication to Anais Nin. Pub. by Grove Press.

No Dust Jacket, spot on cover, worn corners & edges of spine, some soiling to cover, some foxing (or spots) on fly leaf. Slight remants of a removed bookplate from inside back cover.

3 spring ups detached but still there - a couple pieces of tape used. Last one top layer of paper off on illustration of curtain and wallpaper. Book has seperated from spine and is taped together. Rubbed corner/hardcover. Small amount of crayon marks on top of cover. I have more..............

Writing is very light on some pages. Darker are pages of names and totals. Math done on some pages. Small journal which I think is leather. No reference to area but originated from Virginia. Ships First Class with confirmation.

Contains announcements to home economics teachers with how to order the lessons along with revised score cards of Miss Bevier University of Illinois and references such as The Boston Cooking School. Hard cover has some edge and corner wear and some stains.

Book is in Very Good condition but the leather cover is fragile/Fair. All around gilt, spine is very worn and the hinges are cracked with the covers almost detached. 771 pages plus transportation. Also includes portraits and biographies of all the presidents of the U.S. and Governors of the State. A very large book, additional shipping outside the continental U.S.A.

Cover has some scratches, edge and corner wear, movement marks and a little bit of soiling. HC inside corners by spiral are bent and the inside front and last page corners are creased above the first spiral. Inside, the paper is discolored from age. There is about a 1 1/2" line of a chocolate type stain which transfered to the adjacent page. Last page has a large tear which is closed/intace.

A thin softcover book with dust jacket for the Marshall Field's exhibition on irish patchwork quilts held in Chicago 9/1980. Book in Near Fine Condition. Tight binding, rubbed corners and edge of horizontal shaped book.

States First American Edition June, 1999. Printing Line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 9/9 0/0 1 2 3 4. Opposite title page Rowling's first book Sorcerer's misspelled Sorceror's. Last word on page 332 is Ancestor, later changed to Descendent. This book had No dust jacket. I found another book with a Near Fine Dust Jacket that also stated First American Edition June, 1999 but did not contain the errors. I am including that Dust Jacket. Price on flap $19.95. (Book looks the same and fits). Green and blue hardcover. Spine edges bumped, front corners worn, slight spine roll. Several light soil spots back cover. Page tips creases pp. 301 - 308.

Signed on the dust jacket cover. Display with your other Sports memorabilia. Book Like New with the exception of wear to the top of the boards at spine, covered by the dust jacket. Dust jacket has some movement marks and a slight crinkle at top of spine. Ships in a box with tracking.

Good- may be generous but the book appears complete and does not contain writing other than a personalization on the ffep in pencil which is laid in. A well used cook book with cracked hinges, dog eared pages, stains, and very rubbed hardcover. Prize winning recipes for every day of the year which was supposed to not exceed $500 for a family of five. Obviously this is not a new facsimile for those of you who collect cookbooks. Interesting product ads, a Richelieu Brand ad is attached to the back cover with a New Product Flour ad opposite. No free back end paper. 607 pages including index. Antique fragile book ships in a box.

This book is rare because occasionally it can be found with The Handy Book Company listed as the publisher on both the title page and the bottom of the spine. This one lists Hinds, Noble and Eldredge in both places. The 12 page, plus cover page, catalogue at the back shows that the Handy Book version was 50 cents while this one was $1.50 which is why it was purchased less often. This book is in Very Good- condition with small scratches to the textured boards mainly on the spine and at the top corner. The spine edges are worn. Wear to three corners. The gilt lettering is bright.. The back side has a soil spot and small scratches near the top edge. There is about a quarter inch tear at the back bottom hinge. Please see photographs. There is also two pages of ads at the front. The Popular College Songs is shown. History: Arthur Hinds and Gilbert Noble started a bookstore in New York in the 1890's.
