Set of 3 Black cloth with beige boards. No Dust Jackets. 1. Tropic of Capricorn 1961 - Cover Near Fine, a scratch on the black. Inside Like New/Tight Binding. 2. Tropic of Cancer 1961 - Book Creaks when opened. Cover Near Fine, bottom of spine dented & spine bends outward slightly in the middle, edges of spine rubbed along front, front tips of corners very slightly rubbed. Small red penciel mark on exterior pages of book at bottom (not a remainder). 3. Black Spring 1963 Inside Fine, some page tips got bent on the bottom. Cover Fine, Front & back edges of spine worn. Has a dedication to Anais Nin. Pub. by Grove Press.

3 spring ups detached but still there - a couple pieces of tape used. Last one top layer of paper off on illustration of curtain and wallpaper. Book has seperated from spine and is taped together. Rubbed corner/hardcover. Small amount of crayon marks on top of cover. I have more..............

Very First Edition 2000 10-0 with a Christmas designed bookplate autographed by both James and Shirley Dobson. Book and Dust Jacket like new except the backside has a crease along the bottom edge - see photos.

Historical significance by the inventor, author and publisher. Hardcover book is 48 pages, no dust jacket, ink spot on cover, worn around the edges and corners. The exterior pages are red. The sales brochure was designed to fit inside the book. No others currently being marketed at this time.

Brown hardcover, no dj. Foredge looks like it was nawed on by a mouse, almost half way up. Spine is bent. Near Fine inside except pages are discolored from the acid in the paper. Main portion of Cover is VG. Wear along front edge of spine at bottom. Title Page shows the publisher as The Reader's League of America New York City, New York. Copyright Page states 1930 Pearl S. Buck. (No other publisher listed). The author thanks Asia Magazine for allowing her to reprint some previous material.

Contains announcements to home economics teachers with how to order the lessons along with revised score cards of Miss Bevier University of Illinois and references such as The Boston Cooking School. The last couple of pages have some edgewear and crinkles at the top.)
Hard cover has some edge and corner wear and some stains.

Not the full book, contains a brief summary of each chapter, lots of illustrations, a sample of an upgraded binding, and an advertising page with pages to take orders. This salesperson rec'd four orders from Albian, IN.
Gold is worn on the 8 1/2" X 5 3/4" HC. Corners and edges of spine are rubbed and bend under. Has several stains plus a 1" paint stain at foredge back cover. Illus. of U.S. Grant has a 1" closed tear. Hinge is cracked back side with the paper torn and starting to tear at front.

Book is in Very Good condition but the leather cover is fragile/Fair. All around gilt, spine is very worn and the hinges are cracked with the covers almost detached. 771 pages plus transportation. Also includes portraits and biographies of all the presidents of the U.S. and Governors of the State. A very large book, additional shipping outside the continental U.S.A.

Last word on page 332 is Ancestor, later changed to Descendent. This book had No dust jacket. I found another book with a Near Fine Dust Jacket that also stated First American Edition June, 1999 but did not contain the errors. I am including that Dust Jacket. Price on flap $19.95. (Book looks the same and fits). Green and blue hardcover. Spine edges bumped, front corners worn, slight spine roll. Several light soil spots back cover. Page tips creases pp. 301 - 308.
