This truly is a beautiful bookset! Full brown leather, fine binding with 5 raised bands on the spine. Gilt tooling and finish on the front and rear covers, the spine, edges, textblock, and inner pastedown edges. Red satin endpapers have small wrinkles or waves. In addition to the red satin pastedowns and endpapers, each volume comes with a red ribbon marker and a few of them are frayed at the ends. Dust jacket is significantly creased and wavy along the top of the front cover and also has swirl-marks, faint sunfade, and impressions and wear along the edges. Rear cover has a 1/2 inch tear on the top rear and the plastic is pulled away at the bottom (1-1/2 inch by 3/4 inch). Grey hardcovers are nicked in 4-5 spots along the bottom edge and the book has a loose spine back strip. Hard crease at the center of book. Features full-page color illustrations.
