Volume bound in brown leather with raised bands on the spine, stamped in blind front and back, metal clasp, and metal Star of David (enameled in blue and green and with the letters "IHS" in the center in gold), inner dentelles in gilt. All edges gilt over red, coated brown endpapers. The covers are lightly rubbed, and there is an owner name on the front blank page. Although the book has been well used, it is not badly worn. Toronto: Ryerson 1942, 1st Canadian Edition. (Hardcover) 396pp. Very good, no dust jacket. Blue cloth with yellow titles. Light wear at the tips of the corners and the top and bottom ends of the spine, a previous owner's inscription on the front endpaper, some stains on a few pages and edges, the untrimmed fore-edges show wear, a few pages have dog-ear creases, and on close inspection one can see that the back inner hinge has been repaired from the inside. In a mylar jacket. (Fiction, Canadian, Juvenile).

Greenwich: New York Graphic Society [0-8212-0381-9] 1971. (4to) 266pp. Very good in good dust jacket. Illustrations, including mounted color plates, chronology, bibliography. A coffee stain to the edges of the pages at the top corner, the spine is slightly cocked, and the dust jacket is worn and reinforced with tape on the inside of the spine. Art of Alberto Giacometti. London: Cassell & Co 1948-1954, 1st edition. (Hardcover set) 640, 684, 818, 917, 673,716pp. Very good in good to very good dust jacket. Black cloth with patterned endpapers. Top edges stained red, maps, fold-out maps, appendices, indices. Tape-stains to the front endpapers of Vol.2, some tape damage to the inner gutter and back hinge of Vol.4, the top edges faded, the dust jackets have some tape repairs to the edges, and a few paint splotches on the spines. New York: J.F. Tapley Co. 1923. (Limp leather) 329pp. Very good plus. Limp brown lizard calf with gilt emblem on the front cover.
