No publications date noted, but WorldCat says two editions were published in 1890 in France. 4to, stiff illustrated wraps, French text, [12] pages, linen cloth, illustrations by color lithography, front endpapers the alphabet A-Z in capital letters, rear endpaper has letters in lower case, each page provides a poem [in French] and color illustrations of various circus acts: acrobats, flying trapezes, bicycles, chariot races, dogs acts, elephants, horses, seals, kangaroos, pigs, ostriches, lions and tigers and bears (oh my!), ending with a yack and a zebra, and all including the various circus performers. Condition: VERY GOOD with some edgewear, crease to front cover, the spine is rubbed with the paper overlay on the canvas rubbed off in a few places, internally clean. A delightful and very rare piece of Circus and ABC lore.
