Pulp Fiction was Tarantino's first great success. Starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, and Uma Thurman. Originally rejected as "too demented" by production studios, the screenplay has since been celebrated for its innovative narrative structure, memorable characterizations, and clever dialogue. A Farewell to Arms was Hemingway's semi-autobiographical first-person account of American Frederic Henry, serving as a Lieutenant in the ambulance corps of the Italian Army. Although set in war, the book is a essentially a love story between the young lieutenant bearing striking similarities to Hemingway, and a young British nurse. Both a commercial and critical success, which later became an acclaimed film. No dustjacket. Very good condition with a nice bold inscription and signature.
