Then there are six interior scenes showing of the wallpaper and other Wright inspired designs. Then there are another eleven pages of textile designs for sheers, panels, prints, wovens, and rugs. Produced a year after Webster's original two-volume edition, this abridgement was edited by Joseph Emerson Worcester. Worcester had been Webster's assistant on the two-volume edition and would later become a competitor, producing his own dictionary in 1830. This rivalry led to what has become known as the "dictionary wars."

Publisher's half morocco, marbled edges, marbled endpapers, 173 text illustrations after E. W. Kemble. ********Copies in the original half morocco binding with the "curved fly" illustration are the rarest of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Less than two weeks before publication, the publisher Webster announced that he was binding 20,000 copies in cloth, another 2,500 in sheep, and 500 copies in half morocco. This copy was printed in 1884, before the "curved fly" page was replaced.
First Issue Points:*Page 9 with uncorrected "decided" (this was later corrected to "decides")*At p. 13 the erroneous page reference "88" before being changed to "87"*At p. 57 the misprint "with the was" before it was corrected to "with the saw.

Harvard University Printing Office, 1947,Very Rare Limited First Edition, First Printing of an Edition of 80 and as stated "at the request of the author, no copies are for sale." Actually the edition size was reduced from 80 to by the calling-in of copies, which were sent to Eliot for disposal. This is #75 out of the original 80. The original poem is 5 pages, and has Title page and Copyright page with production page at the end. Please read the pictures for further information. A Very Good + copy. The binding is very cheap as originally produced and poem is held in.with one set of strings. The pages are clean other than what is stated here. It has two watermarks of the Harvard Library, and raised imprint of the same, and a very small penciled name erased on Copyright page.
