In Very good shape despite rubbed spine. Quite a rare work in memory of Duchese Uvarova, contains multiple articles.

This is an exceedingly rare book. A Museum Archive claims that it was printed, perhaps in secret, by the CPA or CLP in late 1918 or 1919. Those organizations were driven underground and would not have had the resources to print this book. The book itself is a collection of photographs on 'somewhat glossy, relatively robust, relatively archival paper.' The photographs are famous- I have seen them used in textbooks. There is NO title page. The text is in both Russian and English. The covers are worn, but the pages and photos are in Fine condition. The binding is a tied cord that may be removed to take our individual photographs.

Copyright, 1925, by Minton, Balch & Company. Hardcover. Red cloth over boards. Multiple ownership stamps and names inside both front and back covers. Binding split at back board and after flyleaf in the front but binding remains attached. Occasional underlining and staining throughout. Exterior shows its age. Spine is sunned; covers and all edges and corners are rubbed; all corners lightly bumped; some staining to spine. Despite all this, it is still an interesting solid copy of a very, very scarce title.
According to the Trotsky Internet Archive, "This book is very rare and, to our knowledge, been published only once, by Blue Ribbon Books, a now defunct New York publishing house, in 1925. In good condition. We're not sure about the date published or publisher as the first few pages, including the inside title page and publishing details, have been neatly torn out. There is some light foxing visible, mainly along the top edge of the pages.

Sandro Fasini was a pseudonym for Kiev born artist Srul Aryevich Fainzilberg. S. Fasini was a Russian and French surrealist artist, illustrator, and photographer who trained at the Odessa Art School and died in Auschwitz in 1942. He was also known as Sandro Fazini, Alexander Fasini, and Srul Feinsilberg. He is remembered for his artistic contributions to cubism and surrealism.
