Johann Georg Rosenmüller (18 December 1736 – 14 March 1815), a German Protestant theologian, was born at Ummerstadt in Hildburghausen, on 18 December 1736. He was appointed Professor of Theology at Erlangen in 1773, Primarius Professor of Theology at Erlangen in 1773, Primarius Professor of Divinity at Giessen in 1783, and was called in 1785 to Leipzig, where he remained until his death in 1815.

Mid 18th century Church history written in Latin. Author of the study is Johann Lorenz von Mosheim, German Lutheran church historian. His first appearance in the field of literature was in a polemical tract against John Toland. This work is titled "Vindiciae antiquae christianorum disciplinae" and it was published in 1720. Year later a volume of "Observationes sacrae" followed it. These works secured for him a call to the University of Helmstedt. There he gained a title "professor ordinarius" in 1723. The "Institutionum historiae ecclesiasticae libri IV" appeared in 1726. In the same year, he was appointed by the duke of Brunswick abbot of Marienthal. This is one of the more important works regarding church history in Luteranism.

The Metamorphose consists of a 15-book catalog written in dactylic hexameter about transformations in Greek and Roman mythology set within a loose mytho-historical framework. Within an extent of nearly 12,000 verses, almost 250 different myths are mentioned. Each myth is set outdoors where the mortals are often vulnerable to external influences.

A rare and beautiful copy of Orthodox Evangelion with luxury purple velvet binding with brass clasps and corner and center ornaments. Woodcut printed text and hand-colored illustrations. The book contains multiple hand inscriptions that are only partially legible.The pencil inscription on the front flyleaf contains references to Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, as well as the years: 1911 and 1914. It is possible that the text in some way refers to the Bosnian crisis which served as a prelude to WWI. But, since we have not been able to translate the entire text, we cannot be certain of the context. Collection of famous Serbian manuscripts, artistically reproduced by Svetislav Strala. The luxurious box contains 18 drawings of miniatures, initials and handwritten text. Strala was a painter of Polish descent, born in 1891. The drawings come in a luxurious leather box resembling medieval bindings, late XXc made by famous bookbinder Aleksandar Ćeklić.Strala came to Serbia in 1917 as an Austrian soldier. In Belgrade, he worked for a time as the manager of the modern art collection and restorer at the National Museum. From 1933 he was a drawing teacher at the gymnasium, and from 1941 he taught watercolor at the Technical Faculty.
