Printed at the Ballantyne Press for the Vale Press on Arnolds unbleached hand-made paper. 38 pages, Overall size c. 9.1.4 x 5.1/2 inches, illustrated with 5 wood-engravings by T.S.Moore. Edition limited to 150 copies, the most limited of all the Vale Press books. Usual slight browning to free end-papers, binding very slightly soiled o/w a very good clean and tight copy.The wood blocks for the 5 Sturge Moore engravings were destroyed in a fire at the binders shortly after printing the edition.

Printed by Oscar Brandstetter in Leipzig and illustrated with photolithographs after drawings by Julius Pascin. One of an edition of 100 copies bound in natural goat skin by H.Fikentscher in Leipzig. Overall size c.9. x 7.1/8 inches c.23 x 18 cm. 94 pages, 35 illustrations.Text in German. Binding very slightly spotted, internally fine. A very good copy. The first book with these illustrations was published by the Pan-Presse in 1910.

Text in German. Corner bump o/w very good in the original gold covered slip/case which is somewhat worn and rubbed.

Printed on hand-made paper and limited to 220 copies (No. 137) signed by the author and unusually also signed by the illustrator, Robert Gibbings. Bookplate on front fixed end-paper. Overall size c.9.1/4 x 6.5/8 inches, c.23.5 x 17 cm. A very good copy indeed.

Designed and printed by Edward Burret at the Penmiel Press. No.32 of a limited edition of 60 copies signed by the author, illustrator and designer. A further presentation inscription by the designer Edward Burret on the front free end-paper to Barbara Sants in ink dated 12 November 84. Overall size c.11. x 6.3/4 inches (28 x 17 cm.) 32 pps. plus Frontis and 16 full page illustrations on variously coloured sheets of Japanese Shirokiya paper by Clarke Hutton. A fine copy.

Published by the author in a limited edition of 200 signed copies (No.196) overall size c.10.1/2 x 8. inches. pps. 92 including many mounted coloured and b/w plates throughout. Bound in cloth by Jo and Lil Lanyon. Fine copy in d/w and slip/case.

Printed at the Spamerschen Buchdruckerei in Leipzig and designed by Carl Otto Czeschka including decorated end-papers in colour, double title page and 3 full page illustrations. Overall size c.7.1/2 x 5.inches. c.19 x 12.5 cm. pps 218. Text in German. Spine darkened and boards slightly soiled and rubbed, bookplate on verso of title page but a very good copy internally near fine. Typical decorations by one of the Wiener Werkstatte / Wiener Secession leading artists.

Original green buckram gilt. 8vo. pps.xi + 268 + advertisement leaf at end. Cloth unevenly faded but o/w in very good condition. Presentation copy from the author on the front free end-paper to Norman Maccoll, editor of the Athenaeum in which a number of these poems originally appeared. Also inscribed from the author to Alice Swinburne, the sister of the poet Charles Algernon Swinburne, the inscription inverted on the rear end-paper probably in error. Small book labels of Simon and Judith Nowell-Smith on front fixed ep.

Printed on F.J.Head hand-made paper by Crampton & Sons, Ltd. in a limited edition of 150 copies (no.27) signed by the artist and with a presentation by the artist to Anthony Reid dated 1961 on the front free end-paper. A hand coloured frontispiece, four original wood-engravings and other plates and illustrations. A fine copy.

Illustrated with wood-engravings, some full page, by Gabriel Pippet. Large Paper edition limited to 250 copies on hand-made paper. This copy inscribed, 'out of series' on the limitations page. Front and rear end-papers a little spotted o/w near fine. The velvet binding in very good condition. Overall size. c.10.1/2 x 7.1/4 inches. c.26.5 x 18.5 cm. Apparently Stanley Noble's copy with his name in pencil on rear fixed e/p. Scarce edition.

Overall size c.7. x 9.3/4 inches c.18 x 24.5 cm. 83 pages including many coloured woodcuts ( fourteen full page) by the illustrator Fritz Lang who also cut the blocks. Pictorial upper cover in colour, original brown end-papers, top edge brown. A near fine copy.

One of a limited edition of 160 copies. Name stamp of Sydney H. Caslon Smith on half title and top margin of title page. Top and bottom of spine a little worn/rubbed (no loss) o/w very good. contents fine.

A fragment from Novalis which was first published by the Schlegel brothers in 1798 in Athenaeum first volume, first part. Finely printed in Koch Fette Deutsche Schrift on Deutschem japanpapier in blue and black in a total edition of 350 copies. This copy being 'Verlagsexamplar' (publishers copy) same as the 300 copies edition..Overall size c.10.1/4 x 7.3/8 inches. c.26 x 19 cm. pps. 40.Although undated, as the 5th. publication of Phaiden Druck, it would appear to be around the first year of the founding of the Phaiden verlag in 1923. Base of spine a little rubbed o/w a near fine copy.
