RAT was the most politically radical NY underground paper. Contents include: letter from underground Weatherman Linda Evans, long account of travails of RAT Women's Collective in trying to put out the paper, reports on Cambodia and Vietnam, collage of NY Times reports on Sam Melville, bio of Margaret Sanger, centerspread poster featuring Abigail Adams quote, article on Lonnie McLucas of New Haven 9 (Black Panthers), report on growing radical lesbian movement, back-cover tribute to Elizabeth Cady Stanton & Susan B. Anthony.

Contents include: article on Weatherman village townhouse explosion, full-page letter from Sam Melville in prison, report on International Women's Day demonstration, Free Panther 21 poster, articles on Women in Cuba, Abortion, and outfitting demonstrators with helmets, gas masks, bullet proof vests, walkie talkies, etc., centerspread poster on "Women Unite!" Back cover is color poster for Gay Liberation Front.
