Theodor Seuss Geisel-aka Dr. Seuss-is, quite simply, one of the most beloved children's book authors of all time. Unmarked, pages are crisp and clean. Two titles listed on copyright page, "And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street" and "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins". Corners are sharp, a touch of wear at spine ends. Grey and red jacket is not price-clipped ($2.50). Back flap advertises "Horton Hatches the Egg" which has a price of $2.00 at the bottom. Jacket has light wear at extremities with the paper at the front fold worn through the top 1/2". There is a 1" tear at the bottom near the spine. A nice copy.

" When King Birtram, of the low lands Kingdom of Binn worked, he really worked, and his stilts stood forgotten in the stilt closet in the castle's front hallway....Working steadily caring for the mighty Dike trees with tasty roots favored by hordes of giant blackbird-like " Nizzards " with sharp and pointed beaks. To protect the trees, King Brrtram had gatered together the largest and smartest cats in the world, " Patrol Cats " , 500 by day and 500 by night, with badges to scare the Nizzards away. Feding and caring for the Patrol cats was the responsibility of theChief-In-Charge-of-Fish. The King liked fun and used his stilt for play. Lord Droon dislked fun, and the King acting playfully. He stole the King's stilts, commanded the King's Page Boy, Eric to bury the stilts and disappear !. Things went from bad to worse with the Nizzards threatening the Kingdom's submersion until Eric outwits the guards and Lord Droon. The Patrol Cats under command of the King restored the Kingdom , dining on Nizzards three time a day, and placing Lord Droon under the guard of Patrol Cats.
