London: Sampson Low, Marston & Company,. Hardback. 350pp. No date but the only books mentioned as also by Farnol are The Broad Highway and The Amateur Gentleman so presumed 1911 and a first edition. Illustrated by Edmund Blampied. Illustrated green cloth with blind impressed borders to front round a gilt bordered central colour illustrated panel in an art nouveau style and containing a colour illustrated paste-down. Gilt titles to spine with further colour illustration. Colour illustrated title page. Col. frontis and 21 further colour plates all with captioned paper guards. Colour illustration to title page. 235 by 135mm (9¼ by 5¼ inches). Pages uncut. Faded to spine. Decorated front board is slightly faded though to gilt though paste-down is bright. Bumped. Cloth surface worn and a little baggy to spine hinges though binding remains sound. Text is clean and plates are bright and crisp. Colour illustrated book plate to endpaper. Good+, sound copy . Hardback. 1911.
