About This Item
USA: Scribners, 1921. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. N. C. Wyeth. This is a first print copy of a Scribner's Classic---"The Scottish Chiefs" Illustrated by N. C. Wyeth-one of our great American illustrators of the early half of the 20th Century. This is the 1921 original Wyeth illustrated edition--not the 1924 reprint. 14 color plates as well as illustrated endpapers and paper cover. Wyeth illustrations are unmistakable and remarkable--and collectible in there own right--from R. L. Stevenson's great tales and many more classics- This copy has dustiness to the paper edges, moderate rubbing to the paper illustrated front board and black rear board-- and some moderate edgewear to the extremities--especially the tips.
