About This Item

London: Cassell and Company, 1947. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Good. 8" by 5.5". None. A superior copy of this rare novel by R C Hutchinson. The sixth edition of this novel by R. C. Hutchinson. Set in Europe soon after the war, the events concerning Hedwig, Heinrich Gotthold's widow, and John Saggard, his once friend and executioner killer, as they finally meet. The story evolve around the folding and unfolding of love and friendship until it reaches an extraordinary climax. A sensational novel that captures the tension surrounding the First World War Europe. With the unclipped dustwrapper. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart with only minor shelfwear. Cloth to spine is slightly faded, with some slight discolouration to the head and tail of the spine. The dustwrapper is sound with slight shelfwear and chipping, as well as a minor loss to the head and tail of the spine and a minor tear to the spine. Now laid down to a new wrapper for protection. Unclipped. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
