About This Item

Beautiful full colour illustrations on each page as per Charles Santore's personal visual interpretation of Frank Braum's story of the Wizard of Oz. A timeless piece rather than a period piece.

Hailed as the first original American fairy tale, The Wizard of Oz inspired countless sequels and imitations, as well as the classic American musical film and the Broadway musical The Wiz. In L. Frank Baum's imaginative story, Dorothy Gale takes a magical journey from the American heartland into the wonderful land of Oz to meet the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion.

The book and dustjacket are in Near New condition. No writing or tears with crisp tight pages.

10 1/4" x 13 1/4". Weight: 2 lb 6 oz.

Synopsis

When Nancy searches through the knapsack of an amnesia victim, she finds an unusual ring. Before long, she is caught up in a second assignment from a beautiful harpist. Nancy's discoveries reveal an important connection between the hospital patient, the harpist, and enemies from abroad.
