Ink notation and correction to the half-title page, else unmarked, and the book appearing unread; overall very good or better. In a very good or better dust jacket, price-clipped, but with minimal chipping and creasing at the extremities, and almost entirely unfaded on the spine. An increasingly difficult book to find in appealing condition. Despite all its factual embellishments and unkind portraits of once-friends, this final effort is nevertheless one of the most rewarding reads by Hemingway, which offers much to those among his readers who like to read about oysters, wine, and unusual friends.
