Collection of 25 vintage studio still photographs from the 1964 film, housed in their original brown paper envelope stamped "King and Country 25 Stills Set A," with annotations in holograph marker on envelope. Based on the 1964 play "Hamp" by John Wilson, which was based on the 1955 novel "Return to the Wood" by James Lansdale Hodson. British army private, Arthur Hamp (Tom Courtenay), is accused of desertion during the WWI trench battle the Third Battle of Ypres, when he inexplicably decides to "go for a walk," after being the sole survivor of his company. He is defended at his trial by Captain Hargreaves (Dirk Bogarde), who though initially impatient with the simple-minded Hamp, comes to sympathize with the young soldier's plight.
