Facsimiles (letters from important people & also Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribal Council). Many portraits & brief history of orders. 4pp list of "Centennial Patrons and Patronesses". LAID IN: 1) Mimeographed Bulletin #15 (1p) mainly referencing the new book. 2) Original 8" x 10" glossy b/w photo (stamp of photographer Richard T. Lewis on back) of 3 named priests, "All Jesuit missionaries ...", taken 8/15/60 at Sacred Heart Mission, Cataldo, ID. The priests are: Michael O'Malley, Paul Peter Sauer, & Louis Taelman (Dean of the NW Jesuit Missionaries) (names & info on back in pencil). PLUS, affixed to inside front board a sheet of 20 original signatures representing 1/2 of the members of the "_? N. W. Hist meeting 10/15/54". This signature list includes well known historians such as K. Ross Toole, Michael Kennedy, & Paul C. Phillips, and several Jesuit priests (including Sauer & Taelman, and Joseph R. Garry (Coeur d'Alene who "served six terms as president of the National Congress of American Indians in the 1950s. He led the battles to compel the federal government to honor treaties and landownership ..."). Unique association copy of a scarce book. Fine.
