On 13 March 1689 Thomas Mercer, the elder, of Hawkhurst, Kent Co., tanner, gave to his oldest son, Thomas Mercer, the younger, the estate called Waters with its house, barns, orchards, gardens, etc., in Hawkhurst, Kent Co., England, containing 40 acres; the estate called Hayesgate of 30 acres; and another of 10 acres. Signed by Thomas Mercer, senior, and the witnesses -- Sarah Mercer, Ele? Sharpe, and John Ffoord. Dated old style 1688. In Very Good Condition: old staining; solid.
