[1944 NAZI / GERMAN HOLOCAUST FINAL SOLUTION LEBENSBORN DOCUMENT TRANSLATED; HIMMLER, KALTENBRUNNER] TRANSLATION OF A NAZI SS DOCUMENT FOR EVIDENCE IN THE NUREMBERG TRIALS, original ribbon/presumably teletype copy, 3 pages stapled at upper left corner, single-spaced, 8-1/2" x 14"/legal size, at top above dashed line TRANSLATION: [heading of document as translated] CHIEF OF THE SECURITY POLICE AND THE SECURITY SERVICE, Berlin, SW 11, 14 April 1944, to the Reichsfuehrer SS [Heinrich Himmler], Subject: Placement of families of German origin in protective custody of home schools…In reference to: attached order of the Reichsfuehrer SS' Record number 47/46/43g…[3-page typescript English translated copy of the original order in German ending with typescript "Signature: KALTENBRUNNER] in part, "The enclosed order of the Reichsfuehrer SS was presented to the Commandant of the Security Police and the Security Service at Lublin together with the report dated 6.4.43. The parents were not to be taken into custody before the children had been placed. The racial examinations by the Main Race and Settlement Office dragged on until September 1943…This office is somewhat interested in re-admitting the family to the German fold…descendant of Jews in the second degree…not interested in re-admitting her to Germanism…SS-Major General [August] HeissmEyer…be contacted to regard placement of the children in German home schools…place into protection custody especially since their Jewish origin has been established…Heissmeyer advised that he had given orders for 13 year old Georg Lambucki…Would you make decisions on the following [requested of Himmler]…NO [next to] should still be taken into protective custody…YES [next to] is of Jewish origin, her arrest is recommended…TO BE STERILIZED [next to] what should be done with the two children who are 4 and 7 years of age…ANYWHERE AS FOSTER CHILDREN [next to] please decide in this case also in what manner her two children should be placed…SIGNATURE: KALTENBRUNNER 17.V.44. He was Chief of the Reich Main Security Office (RSHA), which included the offices of Gestapo, Kripo, and SD, from January 1943 until the end of World War II in Europe. (wikipedia); PROVENANCE: translated document was part of an archive of Gerald Kean office and career papers acquired at an estate sale in Fairfield County, Connecticut…Gerald Kean, 1915-2002, high-level producer/director of the U. S. Office of War Information (OWI) during World War II…at the close of the war, worked with U. S. Nuremberg trial investigators and prosecutors including Telford Taylor and Herbert H.
