Lexington, KY: Keeneland Sales. 1969. First edition. . Hard cover. Good. No dust jacket. No DJ (as issued? ). Appears to be a paperback rebound in a hardcover library binding. The hardcovers are burgundy-colored with the title in gold on the spine. There are no library markings, however.. 350 p. Unpaginated (approx. 350 pages) . Pages quite yellowed with age; entire book cocked (spine leaning) and slightly bent in the middle, as if it had been stored at an angle on a too-short shelf. Scratch on front cover. Unmarked text; binding tight (but leaning). .

Keeneland Sales, Lexington, KY: 1973., 1973 Auction lists 366 horses with their pedigree, the consignor, race wins, breeder, prices realized, etc. Original printed color wraps. 8vo. Bound in purple buckram. Very clean and crisp. This sale marked the beginning of foreign competition for the best young colts. At this sale a Japanese dominated syndicate bid $600,000 for Wajima, who was from Bold Rulers last crop of foals. Wajima went on to earn an Eclipse Award as best 3-year-old colt in 1975 and was syndicated for a record $7.2 million when he was retired to stud. The gold standard of thoroughbred horse auctions.
