1949. First Edition. 312 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Red cloth. Rebound Boots library copy, with removed inserts and inscriptions. Copyright page states First Published 1949 with no mention of subsequent printings. Pages are faintly tanned with mild foxing. Mild cracking to gutters, however binding remains firm. Page 5 is slightly loose with adhesive traces to gutter. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Mild scuffing to rear pastedown, some plate remnants. Mild thumb-marking present. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine, crushing to spine ends. Book has forward lean. Black pen to front board. Mild scratching and marking to boards. Stain on lower side of page but not in book if looked from bottom Small stains to rear. Book has a small forward lean as per usual. Spine titles little dulled but still clearly visible.
