Impressions with episodes from the literature, from a series of prints after wax reliefs by Daniel Neuberger.Unsigned.On verso collector's mark of Pim van Eekelen [L. 5101]. Click here for mere information.On the bottom left corner of one of the two etchings is an annotation in pen and brown ink: Eimmart W.T.I. 250.Neuberger was a sculptor specialising in wax reliefs, working in Augsburg and Vienna. Examples of his work are in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. His daughter, Anna Felicitas (1650-1731) followed on is footsteps.[NL] Antieke prenten, etsen door Georg Christoph Eimmart II naar Neuberger. Impressies uit een serie prenten naar wassen bas-reliëfs van Daniel Neuberger. Etchings on laid paper, with broad margins; total: 362 x 252 mm; mounted on cardboard; some rubbing, a trace of a water stain on the bottom left, slightly affecting the plate. Otherwise in very good condition.
