About This Item
Seventies Press, 1970. First edition. The Nobel Prize Winner. Bilingual edition - text in Swedish and English. Jacket drawing by Franz Richter. Near fine blue boards in like dustjacket with light fading to spine. From another poet's library, Cid Corman, with trifle fleck marks from the poet's reading to some of the pages. One page also has a brief underline by the poet Corman which may be interesting to a future reader. Published from Robert Bly's The Seventies Press. Printed at The Morgan Press, 1000 in cloth and 1000 in paperback. This is the very scarce cloth edition. Cid Corman was for a half century the publisher of Origin Press, publishing many of the finest U.S. and international poets of the modern era. Corman was also a well known translator and published over 100 books of his own work. This scarce Tomas Transtromer book is also signed by Cid Corman on his small personalized bookplate on the opening flyleaf.
