NY: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1930. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Very good with no dust jacket. Orange cloth with blue lettering on spine and front board. Remnant of tipped in slip on front endpaper, probably a review slip. The spine is darkened, and there is a little wear at corners and spine ends. Inscribed by the author on the half title page: "New York, 1930/For/George and Cat(?) Carleton/with the love, devotion and what have you of the whole/ Bromfield family and the/browbeaten head/Louis Bromfield".
