I only have 3 of the 4 volumes. I am missing Volume 1.

Published by McClure Book Co, NY. Copyright 1909, 1910, 1911, 1912 by Harper Brothers. Printed for McClure by Harper Bros. Then the letters H-Q.

Good - Hardcovers, No DJ's. Covers have Medium Scuffing, medium fray, corners medium bumps, medium fray. All 3 have 1/2" tears on top of spine. Insides are Very good. Vol 2 has front hinge cracked but Tight binding. No foxing. Vol 2 also has been dropped on top front edge and has a bumped area. Did not hurt the inside only the cover.

Vol 2, 185 pages; Vol 3, 186 pages; Vol 4, 186 pages. Handbook size 5x7.

VOLUME 2:

Has 8 full page b/w illlustrations.

Contents: The Empress Catharine and Prince Potemkin; Marie Antoinette and Count Fersen; Story of Aaron Burr; George IV and Mrs Fitzherbert; Charlotte Corday and Adam Lux; Napoleon and Marie Walewska; Story of Pauline Bonaparte; Story of the Empress Marie Louise and Count Neipperg.

Has 8 b/w full page illustrations.
