Dearborn, MI.: Ford Motor Company.. 1949. LOT OF TWO brochures advertising the 1949 Ford automobile. The first, The '49 Ford, unfolds to a colorful poster, size 23 ¾ x 17 ¾ inches. Four models are illustrated in full color, with side panel calling attention to various features of the automobile (including V-8 and 95 H.P. Six) Slight crease to lower right corner of unopened front cover, thus impacting corners of opened brochure. Color illustrations are used throughout. The second brochure, 15 ½ x 10 ¾ inches, opens to a large color centerfold 15 ½ x 21 ½ inches featuring the Club Coupe, Station Wagon, and the "sleek, stunning convertible!" Four other illustrated pages are published in sepia-tone. Brochure has been folded across the middle evidently not as issued, and visible on the open centerfold. Despite these flaws, the brochures are in overall good clean condition but not mint. Two attractive brochures certain to be of interest to owners of, as one brochure proclaims, the car of the year... You’ve read about it...You’ve heard about it...Here it is! the '49 Ford...!" .
