About This Item

Edinburgh University Press, Edinburgh, first edition, 1983. Cloth, small 8vo,. x, 215 pp. Attempts to include all scholarly work on Locke from 1900 to 1980. From the introduction: "Interest in Locke's thought is. still increasing : the last eighty years have seen a greater quantity of commentary on its many facets than had the previous two centuries. This bibliography, including everything published on Locke this century is designed as an aid to further research. .. The entries are .. indexed in three ways: by author, by language and subject. The subject index...does not refer merely to the wording of the titles in the entries - as in many other bibliographies - but is as far as possible an index to the contents of the books and articles themselves. This, apart from its intended completeness, is the most significant, and ambitious, feature of the present book. Top edge of textblock smokestained, otherwise Very Good in slightly darkened dustwrapper.
