Absurd(c)ity was an exhibition at the National Visual Arts Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, a historiography of art from modern to contemporary in Malaysia, focusing on surreal artworks from 1950 to 2013. The exhibition showcased 60 pieces of artworks, paintings as well as drawings, prints, sculptures and installations, representing thirty artists from the collection of the National Visual Arts Gallery. In addition, eleven young artists were also invited to exhibit their work to demonstrate the continuation of the surreal style in the contemporary art scene in Malaysia.
