In 1890, a Sicilian accordion maker voyages with his finest instrument to the violent port of New Orleans, where he is murdered but the accordion lives on through the lives of others who come to own it. First printing with correct full number line sequence. No writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, if a bit bumped, and the beige boards with brown spine cloth are flat and true. There is some slight browning to the pages and very, very light soiling to the textblock edges. There is also some moisture damage along the lower 1" or so of the spine and spine cloth that has lightened the cloth and slightly puckered (but not discolored) the dust jacket. The textblock is unaffected by this moisture. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($25.00) but does have some wear including some smudging, bumping, and microtears to the lower spine and corners, some scuffing to the back cover, the aforementioned puckering, and numerous small (1" or so) areas of various soiling including something blue on the back cover. This collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
