Deals with the 3,600 mile journey from Port Barrow, Alaska to Spitzbergen undertaken by the author and three companions (with thirty-four huskies). This was the first surface crossing of the frozen Arctic Ocean, taking 476 days. 209pp, 24pp b&w illustrations.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
