Copy belonging to Director's Guild of America trainee Brad Michaelson, with his name in manuscript ink on the title page, and his annotations in manuscript ink and pencil throughout. Two cops with an intense rivalry must work together to bring down a drug kingpin in Los Angeles. Actor Patrick Swayze was initially slated to star alongside Sylvester Stallone, but dropped out at the last minute, to be replaced by Kurt Russell. Self wrappers. Title page present, dated April 17, 1989, with credit for screenwriter Randy Feldman. 151 leaves, with last page of text numbered 138. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with rainbow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 4/28/89 and 5/22/89. Pages Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
