About This Item

Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press (1977), 1977. First edition. Hardcover. Very near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo. [6], 7-274, [6] pp. Light blue cloth with dark blue lettering on the spine. Small book plate of philosopher and well-known pacifist Henry LeRoy Finch on the front pastedown. Slater 927. Thomson was one of the most significant and well-regarded moral philosophers of the 20th century. In this book, she explores the question of what an act is and examines the more general notion of an event. A very attractive copy of Thomson's first monograph. Very near Fine book with a few faint flecks of foxing to the textblock in a Near Fine dust jacket with some mild toning to the spine panel.
